I'm not too familiar with pubs in London. Has anyone got any ideas as to where we should meet?. Also, I'm happy to meet up any time during the day. What are the rest of you thinking of doing?

Can I make a suggestion for a venue and see what everyone else thinks?
How about the Wellington on the Strand, the venue for the evening part of the Nov 2000 meet? A421011

Those of us who went in Nov 2000 will know where it is.
Anyone who went to Somerset House in January will be able to find it easily too.
Anyone coming into Waterloo will only have to walk over the bridge and it's easy to get to from other stations (ask me if you want a number).
Anyone driving can park for free on Waterloo Bridge.
It's not very exciting (neither was the Head of Steam!) but it is easy to find.
How about it?

The map on that profharbottle link is very misleading btw. That's Waterloo Bridge not, as it claims, Westminster.

2 votes for the Wellington. Any more?
Where ever we go, some people might need this http://www.transportforlondon.gov.uk/tfl/
(by the way GB, the link on your page for past events just takes you to the Front Page. I think you need to put the A in it: A649299)

Sounds good to me. And very near a working tube line, which was one of my main priorities.
Blues Shark is without net access this week as he's off work and my pc is currently lying on its side on the dining room floor minus a part or two. If everyone is in agreement we can update the page with some details a bit later.

While the Wellington is absolutely fine, I must just say a brief word in defense of the Head of Steam - not particularly exciting, true, but darned good beers and cheaper than yer average London pub too!

I know where the Wellington is, so that'll do me! Nexus, where's the other one, is that easy to get to?

The Head of Steam is in Euston station forecourt, but I think it has been decided to go to the Wellington now!

cont....
You don't need a secret code to go to the loo at the Wellington.
Mina couldn't re live *that* corner at the Head of Steam.
Are most people getting there for about 6? That sounds to me.
The Head of Steam does smell!

But what does it smell of? I think we should be told.
