It looks to me as if you prepared this offline in a word processor then cut and pasted it into H2G2. Good technique - do it myself. Unfortunately, you also cut and pasted all the soft returns and line feeds.

To get rid of them, go back to your original word processor file, save it as a .TXT file, load that .TXT file into Notepad, then cut and paste it from there. That should fix things, but hey, this is a computer, who knows??

Alternatively, convert it into Guide ML, in which paragraph breaks have to be specified. But even then, a .TXT file might be easier to work on.

Nice content by the way. Highly amusing. Next time I'm in 1280, I'll make full use of it.

Thankyou for your kind remark concerning the content, and for the technical advice.
I have to say that all this talk of "soft returns and line feeds" means nothing to me,but I will look some more at the Guide HTML and see if my brain can cope with it yet.It couldn't last time I looked.
Regards
Tom

Guide HTML still makes my brain hurt,so I have done the "workaround" as suggested, using .TXT and Notepad.Ummm...has it made any difference?
