Cooking Book - Introduction

I have a philosophy about cooking books and cooking in general and I think the main use for one is to be inspired.
When I cook I decide what I want it to be based on and then I add whatever I fancy. But first I see too that I got things in my fridge and in my cupboards that I like. Unfortunatly having the 'right things' at home is something that take time to learn, I know I am not perfect.

My plan was loin pork marinated in lemon and herbs(just that I don't have any lemon at home). So new plan is... marinade of olive oil and chili and a salsa. Salsa is a fancy word for spicy warm tomato sauce (tomatoes, onion, etc)! Served with new potatoes... or maybe I'll do some baked potatoes, o choices! If I got the energy I'll also chop up some orange, plums and pear to a fruit salad - and sprinkle with coconut. Voila!
