What a good idea. In that case my first notice will be to say what a wonderful time I had with my son yesterday, which was his first birthday. The son was shining, there were lots of pressies and the jelly went down a treat. I would like to thank my Friend Manish for his internet birthday card. If you are looking for a novel way to celebrate something, you can get internet greetings cards for many occaisions at

Hi Peta! Just wanted to post a notice that you can get a custom fish made for you by Fenchurch at http://www.h2g2.com/u37819.
This notice board is a good idea. Now that I've posted to it, it will show up on my forum list whenever someone else posts here. Neat!
Share and enjoy....

Notice boards
$u$ Posted Aug 29, 1999
In consideration of the fact that everything has its equal and opposite, I am going home to create a 'no notice' board, which I am sure will be of no interest and decidedly unnoticed. ('Share and enjoy' - struggling - got an appauling memory).

I'm putting together a comprehensive list of diseases at http://www.h2g2.com/P152164.
If anyone has had one or know a lot about one, please drop by and add to the discussion!
Thanks

Sorry but due to unforseen problems I won't be able to make the picnic I've organised. Sorry.

We are looking for entries for the chocolate teapot awards, at http://www.h2g2.com/A184637.
Please come along and nominate your least favourite freak. E.g. the salesperson who knows less about the product than you do, but won't go and find someone who can help!

Calling all TOGs and TYGs; we are looking for comments on Wake Up To Wogan. If I don't get any soon, then some bloke called Grammar Man will explode. It will ruin my carpets. Still, musn't grumble.

There is a new article on Banned Books at

It's very long. It's [mostly] serious. Sorry. Couldn't stop, couldn't help it. I'm a recovering librarian.
Lotsa names of books that have been banned, lotsa links to Intellectual
Freedom sites.
Comments, discussion, heated controversy welcomed!
[polite heated controversy, that is...]
Well, OK, if there's some rabid, unrestrained controversy, I guess that would be fun, too. As long as no one throws anything, or spits.
