A Conversation for Martini

Sancti Martini - In pious memory of Saint Martin. This was how impressionable 8-13 year olds were introduced to social drinking at a very minor English private preparatory school, now defunct. One famous St Martin's Day (11 November) a girl whose name escapes me let loose with - In piam memoriam, Thanks for the Martini! before chugging whatever mysterious beverages was contained within the Loving Cup.
Martinis are fantastic as long as you make them or have them made and have NO truck with the bottled micturition that used to be advertised by Lorraine Chase...
So, Congratulations on your page - I'm honoured to be the first to comment (come on, fellow researchers!). I'll have my Martini with vodka & gin, just wave the sealed vermouth bottle at the glass and drop an olive in, if you'd be so kind! Cheers!
