Okay, I know there are LOADS of unofficial entries about curry floating about in the recesses of the Guide, but this one is the best that I've seen. I like the 'beginner' angle (precisely the point behind h2g2!) and it's much more inclusive than the other entries, though I suspect that it's not yet complete. A couple of minor quibbles aside, this is pretty darn good IMHO.

This has been lying around my virtual desk for a while now and I'd nearly forgotten it, but maybe this is just the kick-start it needs to get some extra input and move on - thanks N7!

One thing it doesn't mention is that vegetable curries are also available and as in India where Kharma dictates that the meat you eat coud be a dead relative, is highly popular, surely some mention of Dahls and other vegetable varieties is needed for completeness as not all curry virgins are meat eaters.

Sorry, Big O - probably not in the next week or two .

Or too much caffeine .
Remind me before your next round and I'll try to update it a bit.

This may be a silly question, but maybe the entry should also explain what curry *is*. Is it a blend of something? Does it grow on a tree?

Curry is the national dish of the English and is a root vegatable (honest - would I lie ?).

There is actually a curry plant, which you get curry leaves from - they are just one of the spices used in a curry.
