I must say, as an American currently living in the UK (Lancaster, England) your entry and indeed subject (educating us Yankees) is quite helpful! I plan on reading back through your archives and using your Scotland information for the trip I'm going to take there next month. Thanks!

Thank you! So glad to be of service. There are more at www.gypsyteacher.com. The best ones for travel advice would be in May 2005, Drive She Said, and August of 2005, Take a Risk--Reprise. There are a couple about Birmingham that would be useful if you were thinking of coming near here. And let us know--we'll buy you a drink!
