mmmmmm... or it could be postponed for another date and/or maybe another place...

i'm too financially challenged at the mo' [as mentioned in the bar's convo] for me to travel anywhere for a while so obviously it would have been difficult to go to this one... but, the idea of a mini-meet for the FoLDers arms is still a good idea... perhaps for the new date/place/etc we might have to consider a one day only thingy...

[also it seems that there is a H2G2 london meet/something in june as well... could have been tricky for those who want to go there...]

so yep... we might have to give up the idea of a june mini-meet for the FoLDers Arms but it might not be a bad idea to look into a one day one later during the year... a chance for those who contribute positively to the bar's success to put a face to the names of the other contributors... contributors meaning all those who are making the bar such a success: organisers/founders and regulars...

then it will be just a question of finding a place which is more or less the same distance for everyone [well as much as possible anyway]...

a bit like it was supposed to be for this one but without the staying overnight etc problems...

bob... yep... that's another good idea... while it might not be possible to have lots of one day mini-meets for the FoLDers, the H2G2's ones could be another way for some of the peeps to meet as well...

when is that one by the way?!... in case some of the FoLders want to go...



as for a one day mini-meet, that would also involve less organising which is in my book definitely a plus... might have to ask the birmingham group for some tips methinks...

i went to a L/DERs meet in Brum last year it was brill im 56
and the rest were upto about 30 year olds me and Di had a brilliant time got to meet Buttons32 a real nice lady and ofcoure Mystic and LIF brill pair they were

and yes, the idea of a FoLDers mini-meet should still be on... a different format that's all... less ambitious and less organising to do... at least if there are some last minute [so to speak] cancellations it won't affect it as no booking would be required...



so we can definitely say that the FoLDers mini-meet is _not_ cancelled, just being postponed and re-organised...
