Being picky, it now sounds as if you are claiming it is on there again. If it really is lost then you might have trouble getting a spare. Do you have animals or children in the house to help you lose things? Otherwise just checking down the side of the sofa or under wherever you put it should do unless you've vacuumed since. If it doesn't turn up, would a piece of lego fit?
As a side issue, :- D without the space is a shorter version of

the moral of this story being:
"never hoover after you've been online..."
hehe... this is turning to be a great alternative advice thread...
a bit of blue tag could do the trick as well... tho' obviously if the keyboard belongs to xian's parents finding the off key again could be vital... these things do tend to turn out at the least expected moment... so hopefully some good news soon...
talk soon everyone...

That moral sounds like one for the quotes thread (not that I really know what goes on there). With all the other silly things that go on there really ought to be a silly morals/mottos thread - on LD space, Askh2g2 or Spook's journal. There are some famous ones like never bothering to train a pig because it wastes your time and annoys the pig. But I'm sure the h2g2 inhabitants could come up with some equally silly or obscurely profound ones.

the quotes section.. haven't gone there for ages...
might change the title a little tho'... so that non-LDers feel welcome to contribute.. especially as we could do with some [BBC/CNN/Teletext] links related to some of the subjects mentioned there [

_now_ i'm gone...

This one isn't necessarily important or desperate folks.
I'm a digibox user.I cannot delete a guide entry I have created. Can it be done by any other means?

SEF Posted Jun 18, 2003
Can you say which article by number or title? If it is genuinely one of yours as opposed to one with which you have merely been added as researcher then you should be able to delete it, digibox or not. Only the owner of an article can delete it. The link to do so is in a slightly different place in each skin but I should be able to make you a special one here to do it which only you will be able to use if all else fails.

Sef thanks, as I said its not important.I just wondered why I cant select delete.
I may use it at some time as its a not for review entry.Maybe this is the cause.

SEF Posted Jun 18, 2003
Not being for review is a normal state. It certainly shouldn't stop you deleting anything.

Mmm well just for the sake of it I'd still like to remove it as I may have to in the future.I have deleted the contents of the entry and it is now empty.
Entry number <./>A1062802</.>
I still cannot delete from this end.It is mine

When you were editing it to remove the contents did you not see the delete button at the bottom of the page (under the edit area and the GuideML options and preview and a bit of text telling you about deleting the entry)? Or was this the button which didn't work?

oooooops another limitation of the digibox which i forgot to mention.. but will mention now for future reference... while we can "delete" an entry with a PC [which is really hiding it until the writer decides to un-hide it...] that can't be done with the machine [God knows that there have been cases when i would have liked to hide some projects/pages until they were ready for consumption/viewing...]
the drastic way left to the digibox users being what artisan has done and literally erase all the writing but of course, once done, it will not be possible to make it re-appear if needed...

I'm not so sure it can't be done. Here's a link which might work but I'm also not sure where you'll end up afterwards...
