It may be that the characters generated by your digibox are not the ASCII standard ones. Computers have different language/keyboard settings but I have no idea whether digiboxes do. Anyhow, here is the full link text for you to cut and paste (having tested one on my space):
<LINK H2G2="NewUsers?TimeUnits=4&UnitType=week&Filter=noposting&thissite=1">NewUsers
Not exactly easy/intuitive is it?!

Kat try this its much easier
< ./>NewUsers</. > and its works fine

That won't be OK in a GuideML page, Jonathan. Earlier Kat (or someone else) had asked about all the settings, which is why I provided them all those pages ago and repeated them this time. However, the LINK tag should work with just the NewUsers bit.

yep I know Digiboxes dont like long threads ( at SmellyVest non standard cr*p) would it be easier to link to the page in guideML you can always alter the search date from the newusers page I know it can be a pain but the codes on a digibox are a law unto themselves .....just a thought I posted a seperate page in plain text with links on because of that problem <./>A1022400</.> so no more going thro' threads

hi everyone... the code, as provided by SEF, does work with the digibox... i remember i tried the link when kat added it on her space a while ago... and i was on the digibox at the time..
the main problem is to type it without forgetting or adding a character or/and space... that can be a bit frustrating at times...
talk soon...

Loup.
My 'friend' T/W was telling me that Scientific Atlanta are meant to be releasing a new Digibox to replace Pace for net TV with a better code set but so far none of them work hmmmmmmmpf *ods law

kow Posted Apr 14, 2003
I've heard they'd shelved plans to replace the Pace boxes as the trials with Scientific Atlanta were beset with bugs.

Since I ever started with Telewest, they have always said a new box is coming out... By "an American firm".
Keyboard, and fonts...
Unlike a PC whre you can hold down Alt and Ctrl, then type on the numeric keypad the character code to get 128 to 255, no numeric keypad on these TW keyboards. I think BTC may make an IR keyboard, not sure if it is Irda though.
I would like some advice...
On the 4th of this month, I reported via '150' a fault with my TV email. - Was told fix in 5 days, so on the 14th re-reported the fault.
Was told it is a national problem, a common problem, and so is it OK for it to be publisied on say the Digital Spy website...
The 'label' for the user and the addy don't match up, so you can not sent me e-mail.
Is it OK for me to say Telewest is a crap company, givig crap service, making crap up as they go along. The 150 people know knothing in fact, just how to dish out 'poo de bull'. - Is it OK for me to say that?

kow Posted Apr 15, 2003
Probably not, but what are they going to do? Moderate it?
I don't think we have a thread for complaint's about TeleWest, it might be a good thing though.

Loup Dargent Posted Apr 15, 2003
hi everyone...
a thread for/about telewest?!... we kinda had one or two before the plain skin but a new one would certainly be a good idea..
another good reason to make the Advice Corner a page... then we can have one thread dedicated to TW and the problems etc we have...
talk soon... on my way to the library...

Hi. please wait 4 mins before trying to read this LOL It's back! There was the thread "IMPORTANT TW NEWS" but, nothing important was there to report. Just more of the same. Is anybody else getting error messages, trying to access e-mail? 6713 for example?

Researcher 220282 Posted Apr 16, 2003
Jab
Liz Pricess Lily has had the same fault for about two weeks now first she could send and not recieve now it wont accept her password.......
and I've had 6713 and the dreaded wait 4 mins I reported it and T/W said someone would get back to me and it was a regional fault ( dont think they knew )its working now and I'm still waiting for this phone call from them
another great one is everytime theres a T/V fault in NW1 my email stops working I'm no where near that postal area in fact I'm not even in NW London

Good morning everyone... most of you know me in here so you may be able to help me... and to those who don't... hello... maybe you can help me too...
Anyway... I'm undergoing a complete recontruction of my space and I'm looking for help in doing it...
I am a digibox user by the way...
I am looking to make my page more presentable and neat... like Loup or Mandas page... not saying that I want to make my page exactly like theirs...
I would like help in HOW to make my page look better...
I'd like to place my text into a box with background colour...
I'd like to create a tag for my Rock Society A1014247... i.e... I'd like to make an easy/neat way to get to the Society...
I'd like to add a whole bunch of helpful links in my page... i.e... Who's online... New Users etc... but I tried the <./>NewUsers</.> thing... but it doesn't work... will I have to add almost a hundred letters to create each link???...
I hope not...
anyway...
If ou could help I'd be most grateful...
Thanks...
Serj

hi serj...
depending on what link you want to add to your page yep, some codes can be quite lengthy...
fortunately other codes can be shortened [like for the piccies] so it kinda makes a nice average...
the link to your rock society is one of the average length so it's not too much a problem:
will even save you having to type the name of your society again [that was a tip given by SEF in a previous post... SEF]... and it can work for any other entries you want to add to your page... A123456 being replaced by the entry number obviously...
quite a lot of info/advice have been given in previous postings have a look and tell us if you need more explanations etc... no problem...
i can't stay too long online at the mo' but will be back later on...
talk soon..
