There is quite simply no better barbarian movie out there, and that's a fact.

couple of typos saught for sought and persuit (many times) rather than pursuit.
The characters are well described and the theme of the movie explained clearly, but given the age of the film perhaps some description of scenes from the movie would give a better taste of its style. After all its hardly going to be a spoiler !
(Incidently it was on one of the movie channels last night.)

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Nice! Now Arnhult can ride into the EG and commit wanton acts of rape and pillage as the legendary Cimmerian warrior!

oh great, except i feel that it should be noted that the book this movie is based on is not the original Conan by the man himself, i.e. R.E. Howard, but the one written by L. Sprague de Camp and Lin Carter after Howard's death. That is rather important, as the feel of the Howard books is quite different and unique, and also the characterisation of Conan is slightly different. For instance, Howard's Conan would never have waved the head of a woman about in the arena, even if he did kill her, as an extreme measure.

Have you considered writing an entry on the books and setting folks straight in that?

well i have considered it, but i haven't got time, as that sort of thing actually involves research, and any way i'm better at wittering along without any foundation ...

no, but as a rule the best entries for me are those that are well researched. I'm a sucker for seeing people doing the sort of work i'm too lazy to undertake
