John, Hi, it's me, Tim Hendley, cunningly disguised as a Goon! Have been catching up with your news, following 6 months in the UK testing the waters for a possible permanent return. I am now back in New Jersey and still have not made my mind up.
Anyway, great to see you are on (almost) the homeward leg of an epic and most valuable voyage. I'm with you all the way on this project, having seen the albatross up close on that Antarctic trip some years ago and having read about the needless slaughter of such a fabulous bird.
I do have some good photos of the birds nesting and flying on Prion Island (S.G.) and would gladly send copies if you need them. Also, if there is anything I can do to help once you return I would be only too happy to lend a hand ... I am retired now so time is not a problem. Let me know.
