I am about to set out to row the southern ocean from NZ to Cape town via the horn (details on www.oc2003.com).

Dear Jim, Long time since TIYL - I'll be thinking of you on your epic trip.

We are at sea off Eire on our third circumnavigation in this 60' ketch.

For me the albatross symbolises the human spirit. It can fly 2,600 km in 24hrs. You will see many, try to record what and where.

We hope to reach Capetown in early October and reach S Georgia in Feb 2004, returning to Capetown in early June having followed the albatross right around the world.
