Hello, fellow smiley - discosmiley - aliensmileD.M.N's! It's me back again; & NO I'm not whinging (except maybe a little one, only me is allowed to call me a whinger)
We're probably doing all this general chat in the wrong bit aren't we? Shouldn't it be in the Living room, or have I got it wrong? Never mind, I'll just carry on for now till someone tells me to go away!
I think it's a BRILLIANT idea if Moose can do the home-page bit; you obviously know all about the flashy graphics, mysterious GuideML, magic reference no.s etc!
Regarding the "snake digging holes" question, I don't know either, but I'm going to e-mail it to a magazine which invites questions that no-one else can answer, the person whose question gets used wins a book "How to do just about anything on the computer": this sounds like a great tool for any of us, so get thinking of questions so we can all get a copy! Other things they are looking for are:
humorous examples of the way kids see life
humorous/appealing real life incidents
funny thigs that happen at work
funny things at college
funny/weird ideas about living in the computer age
Get your thinking caps on! I reckon between us we could come up with loads of ideas!smiley - boing
Re: time differences, I put an idea somewhere that maybe we could all list where we are so we can work this out, I'll look later & get back to you on this.
Abbi, I know what you mean re: body language comments in public, I think there's a bit of a cultural difference here though, from what I've read people in U.S seem more likely to make that sort of comment, having read "pop-psychology" type books; here in Europe people tend not to comment at all if they can get away with it. I've found the French attitude to bodies in general is much healthier than the British, a great blend of practicality & sensuality! (I'm not trying to be rude, it's just that they are genuinely more open about the fact that we all have a body, sometimes it's brilliant, more often than not it's fallible, c'est la vie!)
JELLY TEDDIES!! You know what jelly beans are I'm sure; these are the same but teddy shaped, so you can get a malicious, sick satisfaction from mutilating them, and be utterly politically incorrect by dividing them up by colour (yes, they DO all taste different!!)So now you know!
Off to look at the other rooms. See ya later, alligator!
