Thanks for a very interesting piece! As a new member, I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a thirtyfive year old, sculpture student studying in my second yr. in Cardiff uni. I watched a recent program about the Hunterian museum, in the Royal college of surgeons, London, and that led to my interest in early surgery and the use of the barbers pole.
I have begun making my own version of the barbers pole as a project. If anyone is interested in having a look at this, (when completed), or any other work I've made, just drop me a line.
