Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing can resist it.
All day I've faced a barren waste
Without the taste of water, cool water
Old Dan and I with throats burned dry
And souls that cry for water
Cool, clear water
Let's face it, we live on a very watery world, so this month we want to hear about all things H2O.
Do you live near the ocean, a great river or lake?
Maybe you're from a part of the world that sees more than its fair share of rain, or, on the flip side, you're from a truly arid area?
Are you a waterbaby, diver, swimmer, surfer, sailor, or perhaps the thought of deep water scares the heck out of you?
This month tell us tales of your water world. Send us photos, videos, poems and artwork.
Write an Entry for the Guide about anything water related. A relative who swam the Channel, the world largest sea creature, or a dangerous riptide. Tell us something we don't know.
Those who serve, or have served, in the navies of the world, or merchant sailors, will have their own tales of the high seas and the ports they've visited. (Keep it family friendly, please!)
Write a story based on water. Aliens under the Antarctic, Pirates of the Caribbean (no, wait, that's been done!), or just a childhood memory of a visit to your local seaside.
Perhaps you spend your time campaigning against pollution in our water, maybe volunteer on clean-up duties? We'd like to hear your thoughts. (Please, no naming and shaming or conspiracy theories1)
Fan of the wetlands, and all the flora and fauna they possess, tell us or show us, your favourite places?
You could even write a movie or book review, Waterworld or Moby Dick? The choice is yours!
Send us Stuff. We promise you'll make a splash!
