I don't make new year resolutions any more, except for the obvious desire to survive another year in some capacity that is useful for my community. I'd like to last long enough to see if my roeships and milkweed seeds will sprout next Spring.

Our twins will be 18 this year. I would be very happy if they got used to what that will bring by the end of the year. (their own insurance, tax and other financial responsibilities, starting new studies elsewhere, maybe move out...)
If the aliens think they can do better, let them come... (unless wiping out humanity is their idea of a solution of course)
