Judging by the distance guess which tents inhabitants snore the loudest ?

Nobody noticed, we were at 2385m above sea level with nobody around for miles.

(I generally don't suffer from snoring, as I am fast asleep at the time)

Dark green wins, as there are three people in there. (one in the tent in front, two in the one at the back)

I was with a group of mates doing the coast to coast walk years ago
1 guy snored that loudI slept in the "back up car" which I was the back up driver - I went ahead and set the 12 man tent up at each site, while the rest walked

The one from St Bees to Robin Hood's Bay? I have also done that one. We carried all our own stuff though.

In many places there was a signing in book for walkers
MY comments was:- I've done the coast to coast on "4 Pirelli 2000 car tyres"

I suppose the midges were still present in large numbers in Keld?

I never saw midges etc.
But! "we" did see "cow flies! 1 of our group was having a morning wash/teeth clean in the stream next to where we pitched up the evening before
"WE" didn't have the heart (again) to tell him there were cows just upstream doing their normal functions in the water

We had a chicken dishwasher on one of the early campsites.

The night before we had pasta but it was too dark to do the dishes (and some of the pasta had burnt to the bottom of the pan, so we left it to soak overnight. Next morning we were woken by clunking sounds. About eight chickens were surrounding our pan to get their share of burnt pasta. The bottom of the pan was spotless after they had finished. (we did still rinse it thought)

No1 - how'd the hell do you train a chicken to wash up ?
no2 - Never seen an on-line site selling those
no3 - I couldn't even "train" my ex' to do that

I have three kids for that.

When my 2 kids (1 boy/1 girl)were young, if THEY saw a piece of fluff etc on the floor!
They'd walk round it in case they tripped up on it

The hoover was a mention THAT and they run for their lives

My daughter has got to the point that she recognises that a certain skill set including cleaning operations is useful. She even picks up the hoover of her own accord. The boys need incentives like "You can only start doing the fun thing you planned afte the room is presentable, dishes are done, etc..."

Once my 2 left homefor years I now look at the hoover and say - not today!

And now you can't find it anymore?

I know where my hoover isBut I've lost where the iron is
Last time I used one was to "iron on" a patch thingy for the hole in my denim jeans

best part is "they" bloody buy them now with holes already in them!!! and I thought I was thick ?

The holes in jeans trend has saved us a lot of money. We buy jeans without holes and don't have to throw them away once holes do appear.

Our iron is primarily used to melt plastic beads together after my youngest son has made some new pattern.

I saw a tv prog' a while backand it showed denim jeans being put in a large washer plus stonesso "they" could sell "stone washed"
