In my area there's an ice cream place called J P Licks. During the pandemic, it illustrated six feet by calling it the length of an average cow. So, if the wild west cattle drives had been done during a pandemic, the cowboys could have walked the cows single file, with one cowboy between each two cows.

As some countries had different standards in distance, you could assign different kinds of livestock to each of them.(let's try and find animals for 1m, 1.5m, 2m and 6 feet)
