In 1988 Todd Haynes made "Superstar, the Karen Carpenter story," using Barbie dolls. I've seen it on youtube. Not great cinema, not great visual quality, but apparently a cult film.
I've been meaning to see "Oppenheimer," but the person I usually go to movies with has been sick.
