Another Moon, Another 28 Days of Madness

FWR's dissolving moon.

The moon seems to be blending into the sky. We see a lot of things differently around here. This week, our photographers share some of those views. We think you'll enjoy the quirky visions.

Our November serials are rolling out nicely. Click on the links below to join in the fun and catch up on these 'Twice-Told Tales'.
Camelost: what happens when you land on the M56 and go around saying, 'I am Arthur, King of the Britons'? About what you'd expect. Or maybe not. Keep reading.
The Electrical Journey of Izzy Himmelfarb can be a rough ride, at least for Izzy. He didn't commit murder, but he has done several impossible things, mostly thanks to the ferrets from Fermi Lab. Can he find a way out of this mess? More importantly for us, who will he meet along the way?
Pilgrims' Inn is a moveable feast. Who will Penelope and Odysseus meet next?
The Cosmic Adventures of Captain Edgeifsir is 'about mighty heroes, blazing guns, state-of-the-art spaceships and exotic planets', according to the author. It's pretty funny, too.
Robyn Hoodie: That's Not My Apocalypse! (Mine's RED) is a romp-and-a-half featuring two 'almost twins' and their adventures. (Come to think of it, adventure seems to be a theme this year.)
Beauty or Beast? is a tale of a fantasy kingdom with some very interesting creatures in it.

Meanwhile, please send in your holiday DIY projects: people want to know how to make, bake, knit, and otherwise busy their hands with gift ideas.

In response to popular request, we've included a round-up of the Core Team members in this issue. Please appreciate: I had to chase them down and hog-tie them before they agreed to introduce themselves. But these are the fugitives responsible for h2g2 these days.

You'll find the usual humour and features (new movie review!) in here, along with a few surprises. Let the writers know you care: say only nice things, please. I want them to keep working, and we can't pay them.

Have a great week, everyone. And remember: it may be raining, but as long as it's not snowing, we won't complain. You don't have to shovel rain.

Quote of the Week: My new car has some magic in it that updates the clock when I turn the radio on on a certain Tuesday between 5pm and 7pm.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
