Ah, Panther...

We only recently got some wolves back around here. That causes a lot of discussions. Someone proposed scaring them off with paintball guns. (that is the only legal shooting thing you can get here).

The easy thing about the gun laws here is that you are either a police(wo)man or a criminal if you have one. (OK, and some professional hunters to regulate wildlife).

What I like about German hunting laws is that you have to take a course and a test, as for driving.

My late father would have approved. When asked if he were going hunting during season, he replied, 'No! It's like World War Two out there, but with less discipline!'

My dad was a marksman during the invasion of Europe in 1944-45. He hardly ever hunted, especially after the Fried Squirrel Incident.

Every now and then you get "friendly fire" hunting accidents. This is typically European scale news. It is always tricky to find out if there wasn't any ill intent.

We had a vice president over here who shot someone during a hunting session.

Not the President, I guess. We would have heard about that.

I suppose that if the Vice President purposefully kills the President, he or she will not become President. Isn't the House majority leader the next in line of succession in such a case?
