Maybe there are frogs who remember past liaisons with specific other frogs, who have unexpectedly died during the winter. Drat! You sleep for four or five months, wake up eager to get it on with your favorite frog of the opposite gender, only to find that she (or he) is dead.

8 year olds can do that. Mine is happily sharing his inventions, most of which exist already. It is hard to compete against billions of other people past and present.
