The feeling you describe is very recognisable (unfortunately not evry day for me though).
The days are getting longer now, so any day now that we will have sunlight at the uneartly hour that I have to get up and experience the same thing, minus the aches. My wife has periods of insomnia instead, usually falling asleep ten minutes before the alarm goes.
