The sky is fascinating. I don't think anyone appreciates just how fascinating it can be.
So, yes, sunrises and sunsets are marvelous and colorful, and worth photographing.
But cloud formations can be huge and complex and sometimes scary, but thrilling at the same time.
I adore the clouds in this plate that dep[icts a hayfield:

And here's the plate that depictsb the vilage green, with squiggly clouds that make a playful statement about how nice the green is in Spring

And last but not least, here's a stormy sky, somber and dark, sending snowflakes down to the ground around the old Schoolhouse

Late Summer, Spring, and Winter. The sky seems to have a different personality in each setting. I think these plates are works of art, even though I was never able to persuade my therapist that keeping them was an artistic statement.
I'm going to segue into my opinion of the therapist's taste in science fiction, but since that is off-topic, I will start a journal and discuss it there.

I like looking at clouds too, because they're different every time. But when I've tried taking photographs of them, they've sort of faded away.

The sun was shining on the sea,
Shining with all his might:
He did his very best to make
The billows smooth and bright —
And this was odd, because it was
The middle of the night.
The moon was shining sulkily,
Because she thought the sun
Had got no business to be there
After the day was done —
"It's very rude of him," she said,
"To come and spoil the fun."
