Some days, the only reason I'm aware of my brain is because I seem to have misplaced it and wish I could find it again! smiley - sadface

Just one example of my talent for misplacing things: I have four pairs of scissors in the house, each in a different place. Yesterday I looked in three of the places and could find no scissors, so I used the fourth one. Later in the day, I rediscovered the other three (<tearhairoutsmiley&gtsmiley - winkeye

Surely, one of the greatest things the brain can do is to realise that, not only do other people have brains too, but they are sometimes right when we are wrong.

So homo humilius will be able to say 'I'm sorry I didn't believe you when you said the earth is round. You were right and I was wrong.' smiley - applause

Or, the stubbornly wrong person will continue to say that the Earth is flat, and if there is no functional reason for his/her belief to be a problem, the belief will likely persist. smiley - blush

Caiman raptor elk - Inside big box, thinking.

A cube shape would be interesting for mountaineers. From gravity point of view, the only flat spot would be right at the bottom center of the six lense-ish shaped oceans, and there are six major peaks to climb.

More to the point:

My brain agrees that awareness can be a nuisance, but it wouldn't want to miss out on the ability to read articles like this.

A cube shape probably wouldn't stay in place. Where in the universe would you fin anything but spherical objects, give or take a bit of bulging here or there that hasn't yet yielded to the forces impinging on it.
