A strange sign indeed - I know what each word means, but not in that order

The shop concerned sells clothes, it doesn't sell posts and it isn't a post office either, in which case 'post close down sale' would have made sense. (It isn't a pub either, the sign on the left said 'flash sale' not 'Ash Ale'
which doesn't seem an attractive flavour).
