I've grown the Three Sisters from time to time, but not in close proximity.

I've grown courgettes, which do pretty well if you can protect them from slugs.
I once grew a butternut squash by accident - it just turned up among the courgettes 
. It grew to be a decent size, but it didn't ripen properly. Not warm enough in the UK.

A volunteer squash.
We call courgettes 'zucchini'. And they grow like mad. There's an unofficial holiday begun in Pennsylvania called National Sneak Some Zucchini onto Your Neighbor's Porch Day. It's 8 August.

I used to go around my neighborhood giving away zucchini.
Didn't grow any this year.

What I'm looking forward to are the recipes for cooking the veggies come harvest time.
