FWR is so melodramatic. He sent these gorgeous pictures with the above title and the words, 'Once in a lifetime flowering is occurring in my lair... Erm greenhouse... Beautiful but slightly sad.'
I shot back, 'I'm too ignorant to get anything besides the Blade Runner reference. Explain.'
It turns out this plant is sempervivium, a succulent that flowers only once.
And we get to see it. Thank you to the plant and the photographer.
