Thank you for writing this - you have my sympathy, as I have been trying to keep up to date with the science directly as well, and it seems rather clear that the general guidance is all over the place, never mind specific guidance...
That's good that you have a carers support group to help with at least some of your questions. Do you have an Ehlers Danlos support group as well? A friend of mine is a volunteer for http://www.ehlers-danlos.org

I thought there was a local support group but certainly nothing we are currently involved with, the national groups are useful though. Science wise I am currently trying to keep up with death rates and the r numberm although I always tend to think I should know more.
