Another amazing Sasha pic. You're getting these very fascinating textures at the moment, in your pics. And this looks like a zoom lens rare view, a secret shot, kind of magical.
So, what size is this creature of the carpet? Like, say, in relation to hmmm let's see, a ten pence coin?
Actually it reminds me of a may bug, a bit, with the feathery bits on its back.

Thank you - yes I see the photo has generated fascinating textures, now you mention it It is pushing the zoom further than it should perhaps go, but at least some of the details can be seen. It is a secret shot indeed as I was intruding on its little world while it was wandering around on my notepad - I especially like its antennae, and its little wings sticking out! It is quite tiny - only about 2-3mm.

Hullo Sasha! Oh, its a dinky little beetle then! Nice zoom work!
Yes! Bugs beside coins. Be good. I thought carpet beetle was maybe ten pence size, like a may bug, but in fact its smaller than a five pence.
Be interesting too, because we'd also see photos of different currencies, different coins. I'd like that.

Yes, it is a good idea to use coins for scale, as they are relatively familiar objects, although they are different in different currencies, as you say
I will do my best - I more often get in my house than insects, and I'm not going near
with a ten pence piece (this week one that was 10p sized was in my clothes so that gave me a fright one morning
and the majority are much bigger than that...) but I do get silverfish that would be pretty to photograph if I can catch one
