FWR:
The silhouettes give a nice frame to this shot. That globe streetlight, echoing the sun, is a nice touch. One of those pictures that drags you in.
DG:
Sunrises and sunsets don't have to be in colour, either.

A sunset at the end of a long summer day is a relief.
A sunset at the end of a much shorter day leaves me feeling bittersweet. Maybe there were things left undone? Sweethearts unkissed? Sisyphean boulders only halfway p the hill?
Thanks heavens for that streetlight along the left edge of the photo. It left me puzzled for about thirty seconds. Was it a double exposure of the sun? Finally I realized that it was a streetlight, a comforting thought. we ar in a civilized part of the world, where people who want/need to be out after dark can see well enough to do what they must do.
The horizon is also frequently fascinating. What is happening beyond that skyline? In a place where the sun has not quite set, is something happening that we shall soon know about?

Yes, I like the contrast between the bright white of the light, the strong shadows of the trees in silhouette and the soft greys of the sky in between
