There are scenes like this all over the world, the odd juxtaposition of old and modern. The secret is having the eye to capture them! One of those photos that keeps you going back to see what else may be lurking. (Is it free parking for cannon?)

That, and the soldiers and sailor up on the plinth of the Civil War memorial make it an interesting little park.

There's also a Civil War cannon near the entrance to the cemetery where my ancestors are buried. Come to think of it, there's a small building in the style of the building in the photo. A coincidence, or is it? smiley - evilgrin
