Squirrels plant acorns under my mobile home. I have to cut them back or try to pull them up so they don't push my house up. smiley - erm

Have you ever tried to pull up an oak? Their roots are extensive.

Back Walnut trees secrete Juglone, a chemical that makes it hard for many plants to grow.

There are some plants, however, that can grow near walnuts in spite of this:

There are three very large oaks within sixty feet of my house. I could build houses in their branches if I wanted to. I will graciously leave it to others to do so if they wish. smiley - smiley
