I grew up in a small town -- there was a working farm at the center of town when we moved there (I was two years old at the time). One of our neighbors had sheep. Another had horses. We had frogs and poison ivy. Oh, well, you can't win 'em all.

I remember "Hee Haw" and "Petticoat junction" and "Green acres."
I loved the "Where oh where are you tonight" song.

Nowadays country is often synonymous with agribusiness, and country music means Taylor Swift, who has to have worst diction on the planet smiley - yuk.
