Your welcome hun,
I took my interprtation of Manson from his Autobiography which I read about a year and a half ago now.As a concerned parent of a 16/17 year old daughter.When she started listening to his music and various people commented on it rather than say things out of ignorance I decided to find out for myself about him.
His Autobiography was interesting to say the least,infact I'd read it within 1 day 
and I decided that If my daughter wanted to listen to his music and so on it was ok by me.It wasn't as bad as some people were making out.I'm sure my dad freaked more when he found out I listened to Black Sabbeth and Motorhead and Iron Maiden
Mansons remake of Tainted Love was better than the original though

Aside from the utter stupidity of the last sentence 
because My Ruin's cover is the best, Manson's is awful and the original is brilliant...
That's what my Mum did. Although I still wouldn't have stopped listening to him anyway. I think you got the wrong impression from the book. It does end on a high point y'know! After Columbine, yeh, I would probably have said that. But he picked himself up afterwards and got on with his career. There's no *downward spiral* (if you'll excuse the awful pun) in Manson's music.
