Heaven knows how many times I've sung that tune as a choir member in the balcony of an old (even ancient!) church in Boston suburb. (I have no permanent church, but I help out lots of churches and caroling groups this time of year. People need music now).
I like to hear new arrangements of old favorites. Keep it up, Dmitri!

I had to check. Sometimes they are my arrangements, or just me noodling around. This one was from a book Mrs Hoggett had.
Glad you liked it.

I'm still going to have the Praetorius originals in my head, but you may well imagine that I feel like I'm sleepwalking through life when I'm doing something I've done so many hundreds of times before. A new arrangement or a breath of fresh air is appreciated.
I've been reading "The Tao of Bill Murray," which quotes the title character as wanting someone to wake him up. Which is hard for all of us.
