Hi, Wlliem

Yous seemed to indicate that you were showing a picture of Elephant Root, but showed us Boophone instead.

Elephant Root has Mimosa-like leaves, which look lovely in photos. (My neighbor has a Silktree Mimosa, which she is deservedly proud of.) The feathery leaves are a huge part of their appeal.smiley - smiley

Does Elephant Root have symbiotic bacteria that put nitrogen into the soil? The seed pods look very much like beans.

Hello Paulh! Oops I see I neglected to send Dmitri the Elephant Root photo! I'll send it to him and ask him, being editor he probably can add it to the entry! I think there's a good chance that they have symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria in the roots, they're in the pod plant family after all.

Just a picture of the branches and leaves would be lovely. The blossoms are yellowish and probably not all that striking, but a good camera angle might make them look nice all the same. smiley - smiley
