It looks like a symbol, this bright yellow flower against a more muted background. Hope forever blooming.

But is the flower artificial? if so, what does that say about hope?

Interesting to see how the flower is detached from the background. It seems to be floating in the air.

I've been wracking my brain, trying to guess what kind of flower this is. My first guess was sunflower. Then I thought of zinnias. There's a yellow dahlia.

But artificial flowers? I have a neighbor who has a lot of them in front of his house, and I avert my eyes when I go past.

Real flowers are ephemeral and that is part of their beauty. I have a rose in my garden, which starts blooming with pale pink buds. As the flower opens more widely, the pink is tinged with white, until the mature bloom is white. Each stage is beautiful but, if the flower didn't change like that, would you cease to notice it? Would you just walk past, as you might a wrought iron gate which you pass every day?

that sounds like a beautiful flower. I have some exotic Coneflowers (Echinacea) that start with variegated petals. The part closest to the center is pink, but the outer section is yellow. With time, the pink spreads outward until then whole thing is pink.
