Hi, Dmitri

I've been afraid to overdose on Fred Rogers. 2019 has already seen a documentary about the real Fred Rogers. I've been afraid that Tom Hanks would blow it in some way.

My nephews were big fans of "Sesame Street" and "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood." (I was born too early for that. All I had was "Ding Dong School.")

If you have a good memory, you may remember that Fran Alison, the star, was the human part of "Kukla, Fran, and Ollie," which I also watched. Throw in "Howdy Doody" and "Mickey Mouse Club," and it wasn't a bad time to be a kid. smiley - ok

(Sorry to hear about the Prosopagnosia, i.e. face-blindness. This is sometimes a condition associated with Asperger's, which affects at least one member of my family, and I suspect a few others. Whenever I can't recognize someone's face, I worry that I may have it, too. I hope you are coping with this, Dmitri. smiley - hug)

Thanks, Paul. smiley - hug I definitely don't have Asperger's.

Fran Alison was okay. smiley - laugh But I really didn't like Howdy Doody or the Mickey Mouse Club. As kids, we were fans of Ruff'n'Ready and Rocky and Bullwinkle - indeed, all the Jay Ward/Bill Scott stuff.

Rocky and Bullwinkle was my favorite, too. smiley - smiley

I'm sure there are lots of "conditions" that will be detected (alone, or in combination) in the years to come. One of my fellow students had dyslexia, before anybody knew what this was. Nevetheless, a very sharp 4th grade teacher figured it out and tried to get the parents to deal with it, whereupon they moved to a different town. Later,a cousin of mine was diagnosed with it --she was in her fifties by then. They should have listened to my sister, who insisted that the cousin had dyslexia when she was ten! One of my nephews was diagnosed with OCD (they had him on Prozac for this), but in his forties someone figured out that he had some degree of Asperger's. Very bright and very shy, and probably okay in the long run, because his mother (my sister) has all her marbles and will see that he is treated properly. Not all autism-spectrum have the same traits, and some traits affect people who are *not*o nt he spectrum. smiley - smiley

But thanks.
