Candlelight is always a favourite in monochrome, soft light and heavy tones and contrast.

Turn the lights off and experiment with props or portraiture. Low light gives some dramatic moody results.

Amen. Also, I like this photo because it isn't orange. Turning off the colour give us a chance to notice light and shape.
