This is a good time of year for bumblebees. They have all that fur to keep them warm, so temps in the fifties don't keep them away from their late-season foraging.
I'd like to say that the flower might be a cosmo, but I might be wrong. It's a brave plant that keeps blooming into November, but surprisingly many of the plants in my area are still in bloom: tea roses by the dozens, petunias that are still going strong after six straight months, and of course the Montauk daisies.

Glad you liked it, Paul. We had a nice late fall until Halloween, which got washed out by torrential rains followed by high winds and a tornado watch. Then we got frost. So we're counting our blessings it hasn't snowed yet.
