Nothing vultured, nothing gained

Hi, Willem

Pardon the pun in the subject line. smiley - groan

I never met a pun I could avoid putting in a post. smiley - blush

It's really good that you are letting us see so many different kinds of vultures, even though the one you are spotlighting this week "drinks". If I were a vulture, my diet would drive me to drink, too (another smiley - groan).

I don't think I would spend much time admiring the physical beauty of vultures if I met one in real life. More likely I'd be a bit afraid, if somewhat curious. smiley - bigeyes

Hello! Yes I also commit the odd pun or so, even when it tends to go over people's heads …

As vultures do!

Actually they're sweeties! I saw one up close at a wildlife rehab centre, it was really attached to its 'handler' flying off and returning to him, sitting on his glove like a falcon. Gave us quite a show. Vulture is a gentle and affectionate critter.

I'm sure it is -- unless it is a capitalist smiley - groan.

Yes - I was pleased to be able to get close to vultures at a sanctuary, and watch them out and about with their 'handlers' http://www.flickr.com/photos/sashaq99/28542331222/
