Great concluding paragraph! I highly recommend writing Entries for Peer Review - the holiday in Sandown was excellent* smiley - ok

Lovely interlude indeed - superb artwork smiley - ok Dinosaur in the sand is particularly cute! Dinosaur on the trampoline is brilliant - great action shot! smiley - rofl

That is curious about the yellow sand. Is Eastern Gardens near the Pier, or towards the other end where the beach shop is? I went on some sand near the beach shop, but not for very long...

I've had great fun looking up the what3words locations for Eastern Gardens and the area of sand that can stain. peroxide.streaking.path seems quite appropriate. It is a small bit in the middle, the sand at the pier and near that particular beach café is fine. The sand is mostly harmless – perfectly fine if you go on briefly, but if you spend two or three hours or more building sandcastles then there's a good chance your hands will have turned slightly yellow. Daft place to hold sandcastle competitions you might think, but it is quieter there than next to the pier.

That is fascinating that the yellow sand is in the middle of ordinary sand - peroxide.streaking.path indeed! smiley - laugh Good that it is mostly harmless and the colour washes off, though smiley - ok

I don't know why that is, but never ended up with stained hands anywhere else smiley - shrug
Funnily enough, the year I won the sandcastle competition I didn't actually use sand, but kelp instead. I thought it would stand out.
The Gardens themselves have since been built on.
