In the winter, it's great to have the aroma from the coffee pumped into the heating ducts and distributed by the warm air system.

Maybe that freezer full of Eskimo Pies could be put next to the air conditioner, so everyone could smell the ice cream?

My colleague was glad that the aroma of coffee wasn't distributed, as she doesn't like the smell of it and only drinks tea The aroma of vanilla and chocolate Eskimo Pies (choc ices) would have been pleasant, though!

Probably pneumonia germs. I supervised a department where two employees got pneumonia in the Summer. They blamed microbes in the air conditioner.

that was nasty that the employees caught pneumonia at work... Yes, air conditioning has a lot to answer for when it comes to distributing microbes...

There were four of us in a second-floor area (two rooms) with only one winding staircase as a way in or out. I was furthest form the exit, so I went down to Bliss Marine and bought a long, sturdy rope. I tied one end to my radiator. In case of emergency, I would have opened my window and thrown the rope out so I could slide down it to the ground.

The powers that be eventually put in a fire escape next to the desks where the other three workers were.

I didn't like air conditioning, so I didn't use it much. The others had theirs on quite a bit in the Summer.
