This is not a car.
Ceci n'est pas une voiture.

A great image of a classic car in wonderful condition excellent play of light on the cars paintwork, the people in the background give the image depth and interest, could it be at a wedding?

If it's not a car, then why is it on a road? smiley - huh

Caiman raptor elk - Inside big box, thinking.

Reminds me of another regular French pipe thing:

Papa fume une pipe. Maman pipe papa.

With regard to the photo. Nice interaction between the old car and the oldtimer (person) in the background.

Just wondering when they started using non-flat glass in car windows.

I knew about Rene Magritte's pipe. It was a painting.

What we're commenting on, however, is a photograph of what seems to be a car, on what seems to be a road. I'll grant you that the image of the car could have been photoshopped onto a road that it had never actually been on. If so, I wouldn't have known that.

To paraphrase Freud, sometimes a car on a road is just a car on a road. That's my position, and I will go down holding onto it. smiley - winkeye

As Magritte's painting of a pipe wasn't a pipe, so the photo of a car isn't a car. smiley - laugh Or an Instagram photo a meal.

I'm fine with that, Dmitri. before the car was photographed, was it on a road?

smiley - laugh I don't quite know what you're wanting to prove with this, Paul, but yes, the car in the photograph was sitting on Main Street when I photographed it.

Since it's a valuable antique, I cannot guarantee that it got there on its own steam. Sometimes, the owners transport them to the site so they don't get dirty. Since they do this very early in the morning, when lazy editors are still asleep, I wasn't there to see them do it.

I do see them eyeing clouds in the sky anxiously, and rubbing the surfaces with polishing cloths, etc. These are objects of love. At least the Hoggetts *drive* their yellow 1969 VW van - when it's sunny. It's a convertible.

Don't worry about my intentions. Worry will give you wrinkles, and a friend doesn't let a friend get too many wrinkles. smiley - smiley

It's a nice day here, but I see dark clouds that are not supposed to be there at all. I wonder what color the linings are.
