Where are the trees of yesteryear?
The perfect leaf the lighting has brought out the detail and texture, well done.
The foliage around the leaf has avoided an abrupt dark area and has added interest to the image.

The evergreen branch is probably some sort of Juniper or Arborvitae. I will have no peace of mind until I've figured out what the deciduous leaf is.

Could be Fatsia japonica / glossy-leaf paper plant. With eight lobed leaves.
