FWR:

No comment on the photography.

Town Hall clock looks ancient compared to the tunnel entrance, but they're just 50 years apart in age. Monochrome can emphasize differences in architecture.

Next time you're on your usual, often dull, ride to work, take a minute to enjoy the view, there's a decent photograph around most corners, no matter how commonplace.

bobstafford:

A taste of modern travelling, many commuters will recognise this. The sky and the clouds add a dramatic backdrop and gives the clock tower strong detail.

The darker foreground and the lighting gives a very dramatic effect. The car's headlights in the foreground effectively catches the viewers attention.

The clock tower made me think of similar structures I've seen in Central Europe, usually with green roofs (oxidized bronze).
