From FWR:
No comment on the photography.
If you're lucky enough to have a pet (or two or three) that enjoy posing for the camera, why not try something different?
A close up portrait of your pooch, a different angle on your angelfish, or a monochromatic moggie!
This one was Jax stretching out, enjoying a bit of a tickle. Phone at hand I managed to zoom in at an angle, without disturbing his enjoyment, and captured the details and contrast of his white whiskers against the dark background.
From bobstafford:
Some thought went into this image. Inspired thinking taking a cat from this angle. The texture and the attention to the whiskers' detail is fantastic

I hope the cat in the picture is having naughty thoughts about being photographed. Cats are like that: they want you to *think* they are peaceful, so they can suddenly twist or pounce or start playing...

Caiman raptor elk - Inside big box, thinking. Posted Jul 1, 2019
My first look said either a cactus or something from the bottom of the sea, until I recognised the feline nose.
Photos do not show if it is soft hair or sharp bristles / spikes.
Nicely detailed.

I was cantankerous a while back, but I now see the error of my ways. Sleeping cats *can* be beautiful at times. Usually I react well to nice colors, but a good black and white pattern can win me over.
Still, there are times when I'd like to see cats *do* something to earn the praise we give them . Probably my bad for thinking that way, but in real life I am unfailingly nice to cats. Maybe not a lot to work with, but there it is.

Philip K Dick wrote a novel once in which Jesus appeared to the main character and told him that the only reason he was worthy of salvation was that he had been nice to a cat.

I'm reading "Born to be posthumous," a biography of Edward Gorey. Gorey was indifferent to people, but if something happened to his cats, he would record it in his diary.

That is a fascinating perspective! Fascinating to study the different textures of the whiskers and the fur, too

It's a real crowd-pleaser. Watch for it on the front page of the average newspaper on a slow news day.
Key: Complain about this post
