I've been bingeing all of these novels I can get my paws on. (Thanks, Amazon, for that $10 Kindle coupon.) I thought I'd share.

A good Entry. Very informative, we learn everything we could wish for while not reading too much. I am sure this will get many people to start reading one of the novels.

Yes indeed this is a superb introduction to the duo and makes me interested to read the books themselves as I can imagine Cool and Lam from your description and they intrigue me

Just a few minor things I spotted on reading:

"When a writer produces that much pulp, it's natural to use pseudonyms. In addition to Perry Mason, Gardner invented Lester Leith" - I had to read that paragraph a couple of times and wonder if it would be clearer to put the 'In addition to' sentence first...?

"30s-and-40s" - should that be '30s-and-'40s?

The other minor thing is that for House Style there should be a dash ( - ) before the person who said the quote in the BLOCKQUOTE tags

I'll have another read somewhen, but the one thing I'd say now is ask if you could mention that 165 pounds is 11 stone 11. Presumably it also has an equivalent in kilos too - ah, about 75kg.
